Episode 79:
Anderson East

My first memories of music were the sounds of "Only You". I had to do the shuffle as I listened to this song. Love when I find new music to listen to. Thanks Daryl again for introducing this kid to us!

Hi Daryl and friends, Any chance for an episode with Van Morrison? Boz Skaggs? All your shows are great. Thanks for all the great shows at Live from Daryl's House.

Another great visit to Daryls House. I never heard of this Anderson East dude before, but he has a lot of Otis Redding in him it seems, that translates to just down right good music. You guys make me smile, make me laugh, make me wanna dance, make me wanna learn new arrangements, and yes, even bring a tear or two to my eyes. Thanks for Daryls House. :)

A fantastic show, as always. So wonderful to watch the creative process, as well as hear music played to the highest standard. Anderson East is truly a talented young man with an old soul Daryl. Thank you to all for the music. Take care, Amanda 😊

Anderson East
Anderson East’s debut album, Delilah, was released in 2015. Before the release he toured nationally as direct support for Sturgill Simpson. In addition to his own sold out headline shows he has toured with Brandi Carlile, The Lone Bellow, Jason Isbell, John Butler Trio, The Dixie Chicks, and Chris Stapleton. "Satisfy Me" was the first single released off the record. It instantly went top 10 viral on spotify and received regular radio airplay. NPR Music called Delilah a " …eclectic, fully formed debut album.” Daytrotter wrote "It's one of those 10-song records that's damned near perfect, traveling through the old, smoky bars of older days and down the twisted back roads of love." On July 15th 2015 East made his television debut on Late Night with Seth Meyers and also appeared on CBS This Morning Saturday in support of his album.
