About this month's episode:

Featuring a 2nd annual retrospective of the past year’s best performances!
Selections include Daryl Hall and John Oates hits along with songs from Matchbox Twenty and Rob Thomas solo albums
In just its third year, Daryl Hall’s monthly web show Live from Daryl’s House has turned into a showcase for both legendary artists and newcomers alike, a place where they can collaborate in an atmosphere of mutual admiration and respect. This month’s edition of the Webby Award-winning series, starting July 15th, will feature a second annual retrospective of the past year’s best performances and guests all narrated by Daryl. The highlights include a medley with legendary Motown singer-songwriter Smokey Robinson, a live concert in Jamaica accompanied by reggae icon Toots Hibbert, a session alongside old Philly soulmate Todd Rundgren, a collaboration with Fall Out Boy’s Patrick Stump, as well as episodes touting newcomers such as promising tunesmith Diane Birch, emerging country star Jimmy Wayne and Boston bluesman Eli Paperboy Reed. The episode’s emotional peak comes with a tribute to T-Bone Wolk, the longtime musical director for Daryl Hall and John Oates, playing the appropriate “I Miss You.”

Thanks from a blind fan. Just got tix to see (so to speak) you & John at the September 25th gig in Washington State. I'm from Allentown originally back in PA. What you have done with this site is a gift I wanted to extend my personal thanks for. Would love to get to meet you at the 9/25/10 gig. Loved the Smokey Robinson story about stevie Wonder. That's a beautiful blue dress you're wearing...

Invite more ladies to the House! It strikes me that my favorite shows are those with female guests (e.g., Diane Birch, K.T. Tunstall). So, I suggest extending invites to Linda Ronstadt, Dar Williams and Susanna Hoffs. Of course, if you want to keep LFDH as primarily a men's club, how about Boz Scaggs?

Thanks for another year of LFDH. How bittersweet seing T-Bone there beside Daryl; from this 30-year Daryl Hall fan, Mr. Wolk will always be missed. This was a wonderful retrospect; thanks again,Daryl, and I look forward to the coming year of top-notch music and guests, fine food and fun to be had by artists and fans alike.

I love these retrospectives at LFDH because we get a little behind the scenes history on each artist and how Daryl relates to them. Smokey the epitome of smooth and loving Elis style but watching Daryl sing I Miss You once more for T-bone brought the tears to my eyes. T-Bone loved what he did and it showed each month....like the song said things change and will never be the same but we do go on. Thanks for the gift each month Daryl. Please consider putting all these episodes into a boxed DVD set.
