About this month's episode:
The 30th edition of Live From Daryl's House is a celebration of the life of the late T-Bone Wolk, the longtime musical director for Daryl Hall and John Oates, who passed away on Feb. 27 from a heart attack at the age of 58. The episode brings together several former members of the band, including guitarist G.E. Smith, sax player Mark Rivera and drummer Mickey Curry, with current members Paul Pesco and Charlie DeChant for a set of T-Bone's favorite songs, including The Band's "The Weight," NRBQ's "If I Don't Have You," the Isley Bros.' "Caravan of Love," Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes' "I Miss You," Professor Longhair's "In the Night," Percy Mayfield's "Please Send Me Someone to Love" and H&O's own "Change of Season."

I've waited a long while to post something like this related to how Hall and Oates have been a significant part of my life, but after watching this episode of Live from Daryl's House, the time seems perfect. First, thank you all for being willing to share your love and memories via this presentation. And Daryl, thank you for doing these videos and making this site. Clearly it is not cheap and so many folks appreciate being able to watch them, for free no less. Really. Thanks you very much. Second, from an admittedly somewhat distant perspective I share your grief. when I was growing up, Hall & Oates were like my uncles. That might sounds weird, but if you lived my life you would understand. I was a kid listening constantly to the radio at what I've just learned after watching this, was the time T-Bone joined the Hall and Oates crew. As a young band geek I always understood that G E Smith and T-Bone were critical links and like family to what everyone else knew as "Hall & Oates". Watching this and other concerts for Daryl and from John in various incarnations, I grew to realize that T-Bone was as much of what I knew and loved about what everyone else thought of as simply "Hall & Oates". So I thought of T-Bone as part of my family as well. I might sound strange, and I'm no over the fan, but I have shed many a tear over the loss of T-Bone. And at the same time, seeing that Daryl and John and the crew are still hitting the road (road dogs! :) warmed my heart and filled me with hope. I'll be out there cheering you on in Puyallup, WA this summer and I'll be out there with a warm heart, glad that you are there carrying on, imagining T-Bone as I've seen him live with you all in the past, and feeling happy. And a little sad. But as Daryl said, he isn't really gone, is he? Sure I shed tears watching this, but man, my life and the world is better because of T-Bone. And that is quite a lot to accomplish given our short time on this trip. Thanks to all of you again. Even as a comment on a video blog, this still has a family feel to it for me, and it reminds me of how grateful I was and still am for what most everybody else just knows as "Hall & Oates". Thanks to everybody here. Musicians, fellow fans, fellow humans and, to T-Bone Wolk. You didn't know me, but I knew your work and your music and it made my life better from the time I was a 6th grader first discovering the joys or rock music on the radio in Indiana, till the time until just a few short weeks ago that I was a 40 year old man on the west coast, still amazed by and grateful for my pals in what everyone else around me just seems to know as "Hall & Oates. Adios Tommy. You didn't need to know me but I am grateful you let me know your work. Carry on my friends!

The best of a cut of beef, the best of friendship to offer, the best ignored, but charished by those who care. I never met, but I'm simuliar in soul. Gifts given and offered without charge. Heart enough for all that can not find. A stranger of person, but a partner in a willingness to give without receipts. A dream daily I'm sure to share with Daryl. Dreams made real with help of friends.

I remember 2 things about T-Bone. 1) That "Private Eyes" video! Can't believe that's remembered! I always wondered who the fuck was that guy who never moved!? 2) Whenever I went to a Hall & Oates concert,in AC or in NYC, the next morning, I'd sometimes see T-Bone having breakfast and reading the paper.I never said hi to him and told him how much I enjoyed the show last night. I wish I had. I can't believe he's gone; which I'm sure no-one can. He will always be with us; but I'm still sad. Great show. I can't imagine how hard it was. On a lighter note, that Brocoli Rabe recipe still impresses my friends, and is bad to the Bone. Take care.

I did not have the pleasure of knowing Tom T-Bone Wolk personally but thanks to LiveFromDarylsHouse, I have had the honor of seeing a glimpse of the man you've known and love. Watching this tribute makes me cry because I miss his presence, his humor..his gift. That is testimony to the man you call your friend. He was able to shine his light through an online music show and touch me; a stranger. I can only imagine the loss you must feel. This tribute is wonderful. Thank you so much for allowing us to be part of it. LiveFromDarylsHouse, is a real class act. Don't ever stop.
