Episode 30:
Remembering Tom "T-Bone" Wolk

Intro - If I Don't Have You

My favorite episode. John Oates Please Send Me Someone to Love, Daryl Hall I Miss You and The Weight all bring tears to my eyes. Such a great tribute to your friend. Grew up with H&O and have turned a bunch of my friends on to LFDH. Just some parts of your youth you don't want to let go! Thanks.

What great tribute to T-Bone. That man was a wonder with an instrument, and Im glad I had the chance to hear him work his magic.

HI Darryl. I'm a Brazilian Bass Player , and fan of your work since 70's. I use to live in LA and play with local bands such as Toni Dodd & Southbound Blues , Curtis Gray Blues II Blues during 97-2000. Now I'm back to Brazil and luckly watching on TV New Orleans Jazz Heritage (where I lived from 73-75) and for my surprise you guys where on the show. So I decided to search on the internet and found your site with this wonderfull musicians reunion at your house. Felt very sorry to know about T Bone passed away, my sincere condolences, he was a wonderfull musician and a joyful person.Congratulations fos the wonderfull work.Best regards. Daryl, em minha opinião, fez sua melhor interpretação em Y Miss You. Ele interpretou com toda a sua alma, fazendo-nos sentir com ele toda a saudade do excelente T-Bone.

Hall and Oates
The 30th edition of Live From Daryl's House is a celebration of the life of the late T-Bone Wolk, the longtime musical director for Daryl Hall and John Oates, who passed away on Feb. 27 from a heart attack at the age of 58. The episode brings together several former members of the band, including guitarist G.E. Smith, sax player Mark Rivera and drummer Mickey Curry, with current members Paul Pesco and Charlie DeChant for a set of T-Bone's favorite songs, including The Band's "The Weight," NRBQ's "If I Don't Have You," the Isley Bros.' "Caravan of Love," Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes' "I Miss You," Professor Longhair's "In the Night," Percy Mayfield's "Please Send Me Someone to Love" and H&O's own "Change of Season."
